About the Nmaster

Hey there, name’s David. Or more commonly known as “Nmaster” around the interweb tubes. I’m a 20-year old college student currently attending the NC State University College of Engineering. I’m currently a Web Designer by trade, but I hope to move into game design after I graduate. My major is Computer Science (with a focus on gaming) and my minor is in Business Management. I’ve been an avid gamer since I was about 2 or 3 years old (not a hyperbole), and it’s probably the most influential part of my life.

Experience-wise, officially speaking, I’ve been a video game reporter for 4 or 5 years now, writing for my privately owned Nintendo-focused site, Nwizard.com. During this time, I’ve been able to establish a couple connections within the industry and have lucky enough to meet some insiders in person. My stories have headlined on sites like Digg, SlashDot, Joystiq, and many other sites around the net. I left reporting for Nwizard and signed on with TheGameFeed.com as Wii Editor. It’s was significantly larger news team covering a more complete spectrum of the industry, and gave me great press access and much more experience. TGF is no more now, although I still keep an eye out for my next job in the field…

Other than simply reporting, I’ve taken a significant interest over the years in the marketing and economic aspects of the video game industry, especially in regards to it’s three major players. It’s somewhat possible I may even pursue a marketing career within the industry later in life, as I have become quite enamored with the business strategies and marketing techniques of the companies. I’ve written a few editorials over the years on these and a variety of gaming subjects, all of which have been well received by readers and critics. Or, who knows, I may end up being a game journalist in the end…

Well, I don’t know what really to say beyond all that. Check out my website and feel free to email me if you need anything, video game or web design wise. Keep on gaming gamers.
