Before I get to the title topic…I’d like to throw out an OMFG! at the announcement that Dragon Quest IX will be coming exclusively to the Nintendo DS. That makes 3 massive titles in the works for DS from Square, and remember the beautiful remake of Final Fantasy III just launched (which I am devouring). Note though that unlike Final Fantasy XII Revenant Wings or Crystal Chronicles, Dragon Quest IX is not a spinoff but the true heir to the franchise, a franchise that is notably one of Japan’s biggest series ever. This is no small news folks, and it’s good news too. I remember the SNES days, and I can tell you that Square and Nintendo always have awesome babies…

So, about this Elebits thing that’s about to sweep the land. My copy should hopefully be in the mail tommorow, lest I start throwing a fit. I’ll tell ya, I was far from excited to hear about the game’s map making and sharing online capabilities. That was hardly something I expected to be the source of infinite replay value, as it looks very limited in options. That is, until I saw this:
