Yup yup, you read right. In a great tiny blog update, my long-time prediction has come to light and creator Masahiro Sakurai has confirmed that Super Smash Bros. Brawl will feature FOUR different control schemes, including the known GameCube controller and well-predicted Classic Controller, but also the two most common Wii Remote configurations.

Unfortunately, Sakurai didn’t actually give us any details on how the controls work with the Wiimote, only saying he preferred the GameCube controller and it’s powerful rumble. It’ll be very interesting to see what kind of preferences turn up in tournaments, and if some people who can master a more difficult setup may get an edge…
